The Vinton Public Library will host an Estate Planning session with the Mossman Law Firm. The event will take place on Thursday, February 2. The session will begin at 5:00 p.m.Bring your questions and a friend!

42° North Winery to make presentation at the Library, Tuesday, January 31st 5 pm

Next Tuesday, January 31st 42° North Winery will hold a presentation along with a "taste and take" event at the Vinton Public Library. David and Mary Paustian owners of the winery, will begin at 5:00 p.m. and the event runs until 6:00 p.m.

It's Bingo Time! Sunday, January 29, 5-7:00 p.m.

Benefit Breakfast for AJ Gale - February 5th 8 a.m.-Noon

There will be a Benefit Breakfast at Keystone Turner Hall on Sunday, February 5th from 8 until noon to assist the family of AJ Gale.The meal consists of ham/sausage egg bakes, sausage links, pancakes and assorted sweets.AJ Gale is seven years old and lives in Keystone, Iowa. He loves telling jokes with his AAC device, dancing to music with a good beat, and messy play - like painting! AJ also has Down Syndrome and a list of medical diagnoses, including only having "half a heart" (hypoplastic left heart syndrome).

Benton County Conservation Ice Fishing Tournament Saturday, February 11

It’s that time of year again for the Benton County Conservation Ice Fishing Tournament! This year's tournament will be at Rodgers Park, 2113 57th St. Trail, Vinton.Parking and arrival start at 7:00 am with registration starting at 7:30 am at the Enclosed Shelter. At 8:30 am augering and fishing start.Individuals 16 and older must present a valid fishing license to participate.

Pasta Bar Fundraiser February 11, 4:30-7:30 p.m.

The new Cedar-Mt. Auburn Community Club is hosting a pasta and salad bar fundraiser. The club is working on obtaining the Legion building by creating a non-profit organization (501(3)c). We want to continue the community events, such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Annual Town, Celebration, Christmas Celebration, and possibly more! These fundraisers will help support the overhead costs of thebuilding and provide a venue to fellowship with your friends and neighbors.

Shellsburg Lions Bingo Nights January 14 & 28

The Shellsburg Lions will hold Bingo at the Legion on Jan 14 and 28. The Legion will provide food. The Blackout is guaranteed to be $50. Come have some fun, win a bingo and celebrate other activities. For questions call 319-389-2682.
